Desperation

For many years now I have been on this journey to know God and to be known by Him. My greatest desire was to experience the tangible manifest presence of the Holy Spirit. In doing so I began to dig deep into the Fathers heart and began to experience an intimacy that I had never known. Tinuke, I believe you shared that sometimes the journey or quest can be more fulfilling then the answered prayer.

"Deep is forever calling to deep. It's a continuous, unfolding process, but you must respond. You must persist in your yearning for Him, knowing that in due time the longing of your heart will be satisfied beyond anything you could ever imagine."

In Luke 18: 2-8 we read about the widow who was relentless in asking for justice. vs 7 ....that she cried out to him day and night... My question is if God responds faithfully to those who seek justice, how much more will He respond to those who seek Him?

Tinuke, I believe one of the greatest evidences of humility is when a person feels empty and dry, but says to God "You are worth going after in spite of all the hassles I'm experiencing. I am going to keep seeking You and crying out to You until You manifest Yourself to me"

So let us press into the heart of God, let us persist in drawing close, let us persevere and even wrestle with God. After all we are the ones who determine the depth of intimacy with our Father. We are as close to Him as we chose to be. "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you"

This is why we must persist! The journey is worth it!! God will draw near to those who seek Him. So keep planting, keep turning up the ground of your heart, keep watering, and fertilizing, my friend, you will see the fruit. Keep on, keepin on!!
